funana.org is an academic-social engagement initiative created by Carla Martin, a researcher-storyteller studying Cape Verdean language and music and PhD Candidate in African and African American Studies at Harvard University. Her work bridges the fields of social and linguistic anthropology, ethnomusicology, and Creole studies, with an emphasis on the politics of representation and applied scholarship.
